本課程提供學生行為科學與衛生教育的基本知識和原理，課程內容除介紹其定義、沿革與發展外，亦包括幾個常見的行為科學理論，以及衛生教育計畫之規劃、執行與評估；同時，課程中教授學生如何運用不同教學法、教案設計及健康傳播之概念與元素，並考量目標族群之特色及其場域，發展具理論為基礎的衛生教育計畫。最後，本課程進一步談及在發展與執行衛生教育計畫時，所相關之心理、文化、性別及倫理議題。

The course is designed for students to equip with fundamental competencies and skills needed in conducting research and programs in behavioral science and health education. The course consists of an overview of the definitions, evolution, and the progress of health education and health promotion, common behavioral theories, and the principles of planning and evaluation of health education/promotion programs in different settings. The course also provides students with knowledge and methods of teaching, planning, and communicating health education contents with diverse audiences. Moreover, the course covers several important issues in health education including, mental health, culture, gender, and ethics.
